York Expo Center Names Jenna Koslosky as Director of Business Development

The York Expo Center, York Pennsylvania has announced that Jenna Koslosky has joined the team as the new Director of Business Development. Koslosky’s primary role will be managing the Rental and Sponsorship Programs and assisting in other areas of administration as needed. She comes to the York Exposition Center after having spent the past ten years as Group Sales Manager at the Wyndham Garden Inn hotel in York.
“We are very fortunate to be able to bring Jenna on board to manage our rental events and sponsorships as we prepare to ramp back up to a full opening as soon as permitted,” said CEO Bryan Blair. “Jenna is already familiar with many of our clients and show promoters as she would work with them to reserve hotel rooms and plan off-site meetings and banquets at the hotel for them. Plus she has experience in working for nearly three years at Explore York (York County Convention and Visitors Bureau) and knows the significance of the partnership our facility has with Explore York. I believe she will be a huge asset to our team as we move forward into the future,” Blair added.

Prior to working at the Wyndham Garden Inn, Koslosky was a Bureau Services and Group Tour Associate at Explore York where she coordinated Convention and Sporting event needs, many of which took place at the York Expo Center.

“I am very excited to be joining the team at the York Expo Center/York State Fair as Business Development Director,” said Koslosky. “I have worked closely with our groups at the Wyndham Garden for the past ten years and I am eager for the opportunity to continue working with these plannners in my new role. As a child I remember coming to the York State Fair every year with my family and it is truly an honor to now be part of the team,” she added.

Koslosky’s hiring comes on the heels of nearly $450,000 of physical improvements designed to mitigate the spread of Covid-19, which has virtually shut the York Expo Center down to only essential operations staff and very select events.

“We utilized a significant chunk of the CARES funding awarded to us by the York County Commissioners to make improvements to our facilities,” said Blair Those improvements include Ultra Violet Germicidal Irradiation units in Weis Market’s Arena, Memorial Hall East and West and the Administrative Offices.

Visitors will also notice touchless sink faucets and flush valves in the restrooms in Weis Market’s Arena and Memorial Hall East and West along with new automatic touchless entry doors and additional hand sanitizing stations. “We also purchased six electrostatic foggers to sanitize areas along with new floor scrubbers which will provide a more thorough cleaning of our buildings,” added Blair.

“The addition of Jenna to our team, plus all of the building enhancements, has us ready to move forward into more normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so. We are currently still planning for events through the winter and we are also currently planning for the York State Fair which will be held July 23-August 1, 2021.
